Raccoon Digital Win National Sign Award It was the biggest and best social event in the history of the British Sign Industry. Over 250 sign industry stalwarts – sign makers, materials and equipment suppliers and the media – gathered in the Terrace Bar at Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens for pre-dinner cocktails - and were then invited to take their seats for dinner in the sumptuous Garden Suite. They were welcomed by music from the Little Big Band, who played jazz standards throughout the excellent four-course meal, and by Saxon Tylney, Liz Warlock and David Oakley who cruised the tables during dinner amusing and amazing the diners with feats of close-up magic. As coffee was served Sue Beardsmore, a presenter with the BBC, took to the stage to introduce the formal element of the night’s proceeding – the presentation of the awards to the winners. With
only ten catagories, Raccoon Digital were proud winners
of the category “Best Vehicle Livery”, sponsored
by Metamark. The Land Rover Defender 110 is not easy to wrap due to the number of rivets and panels on the vehicle, and Raccoon believes the two they have done for the HWCH 24-hour support vehicles are the first in the country. The
graphics were printed and applied using a two-part cast
vinyl and overlaminate, both fully conformable. Reflective
chevrons and pre-spaced cut text finished off the vehicle. And
then the party really started… the Little Big Band
got in to full swing, every body got gambling chips to
the value of "£2000" and roulette wheel
started to spin and the dice rolled. It really was a night to remember. For more information about The Sign Industry Awards, click here. |
