Please
find below Frequently Asked Questions to help you decide
on the best course of action for your wrap project. If
you still have a question of your own, please do not
hesitate to contact us.
Will
my vehicle be damaged?
At all stages of applying and removing the wrapping film,
we will endeavour to preserve the state of the vehicle
paintwork. In our experience, no damage will be caused
to the paintwork of a vehicle if it is of a ‘factory’
standard. However, it is the duty of the owner of the
vehicles to ensure suitability. Raccoon Digital cannot
be held responsible for any damage caused to the paintwork
of a vehicle or trim unless we and/or the manufacturer
of the materials used, give written confirmation of any
warranty or guarantee. Please contact us for more details
How
long does it last?
Depending on your requirements and the type of vehicle
to be wrapped, we can offer performance guarantees of
up-to five years. We are approved 3M and Avery fabricators
and applicators and are currently able to offer warranties
in conjunction with these manufacturers.
Can
it be removed?
YES! One of the benefits of a vehicle wrap is that it
protects the paintwork underneath. As long as care is
taken to remove the vinyl wrap, you will be greeted with
a protected bodywork. This obviously depends on the quality
of the bodywork when the wrap was applied!
How
do I create the artwork?
This is best done using a scaled template of the vehicle
in question. We can currently supply templates for most
commercial vehicles and cars. Alternatively, we offer
a vehicle survey and template creation service. For general
artwork questions, please download our current artwork
guide, in PDF format.
Where
do you fit the graphics?
Two options, either at our fully equipped premises in
Edenbridge, Kent or at a location of your choice. It
is essential, though, that the vehicle is wrapped in
a clean, dry, warm location with lighting and heating
available. The vehicle must be thoroughly cleaned beforehand,
and free of rust or loose paintwork.
How
quickly can you do it?
Our quickest turnaround so far has been two days from
receipt of artwork to completion of the wrap. An exceptional
case! Normally we require at least five working days
from receipt of order and ready artwork to wrap an individual
vehicle, and more time for vehicle fleets. If you have
a time urgent project, please contact our sales department
who will be able to advise you of our current lead times.
What
if the wrap fails?
It is essential that before we wrap your vehicles that
all requirements are understood by both parties. If performance
guarantees are required, the criteria can be confirmed
in writing and in conjunction with the vinyl manufacturers.
Written guarantees and warranties are available and can
be implemented, but must be discussed at the quotation
and specification stage of a project. If all safe guards
have been taken, then you will be fully protected under
the terms of the warranty
How
much does it cost?
To determine the cost of wrapping a vehicle, a number
of variables need to be taken into account. These include
vehicle type, quantity of vehicles, location, graphic
coverage, life expectancy of graphics and warranty/guarantee
requirements.
To help you determine the viability of a project, below
are ‘ballpark’ costs for the most popular
vehicles. Please note that these are for a one off vehicle
wrap, using customer supplied artwork and the vehicle
being delivered to our Edenbridge premises for application.
It also assumes full coverage of the vehicle, including
any windows.
