About Raccoon

Kent-based printers and installers of graphics.

Starting as a small studio in 1992, Raccoon is now a trusted name in commercial vehicle wrapping, build and conversions, large format printing, and brand activations. We were one of the first in the UK to buy a machine for printing outdoor graphics onto self-adhesive materials, and the first in the world to produce a matte-black car wrap.

We've since evolved to become a unique, hybrid brand production company with a 4,000 sq. ft workshop. It’s here that printers, designers, engineers, carpenters and electricians all come together to work on creative projects. These are often managed entirely in-house, which is great for both communication and quality control.

We’re also big on sustainability, and can provide high-quality alternatives like PVC-free materials that are great for the environment. Everything we do is print-on-demand, which reduces waste, and we’re fully committed to eco-friendly products and a recycle-first approach.

Our Journey

1992

Founder, Richard Clark, launched Raccoon as a signwriting business using an inkjet printer, water-based inks and vinyl cutting machinery.

As the traditional signage industry was being disrupted by new technology, he spotted a gap in the market to take his signage services digital.

1999

Having invested in new materials and technologies, Raccoon was one of the first companies in the UK to purchase an inkjet machine for printing outdoor graphics onto self-adhesive materials using more durable inks.

This was a dramatic change to our business model and enabled rapid growth.

2003-2004

After much research and development, the team expanded to become a printing and vehicle wrapping company.

We also invested in a grand format printing machine to print up to 3.2 metres on different materials. This allowed us to work with the trade industry to supply large format printed graphics.

2005-2009

We completed our first fleet rebrand of over 300 Mini Coopers for Foxtons estate agents and started creating exciting designs for Gumball 3000 Rally vehicles which achieved a number of industry awards.

We also established a valuable partnership with Arlon, a supplier of high grade wrapping materials.

2012-2015

Our first promotional vehicle campaign for Sketchers took place in 2012, and more customers approached us for vintage vehicles that could be wrapped for their advertising campaigns.

We launched sister company, Promohire, in 2015 as an independent vehicle hire service beside our vehicle wrapping services.

Now

Our vehicle fleet has grown to include taxis, ice cream vans, buses and many more.

Alongside our printing and vehicle wrapping services we now customise vehicles in our metalwork, woodwork and electrical workshops, all of which sit on our two-acre site in Edenbridge, Kent.
